"You And I" Video Review

Something looks fishy in Lady Gaga's new video for "Yoü and I". After 'Mother Monster' released her cryptic tweet, "Love is a Result. We bare an Unbearable Human Inability: to just 'be.'", she set free her alter-egos (from Jo Calderone to Yuyi the Mermaid) in the cornfields of Nebraska, where the video was shot.

The song has a country feel to it and deals with a lost love. Sounds a like a very common issue, until you add torture, mermaid sex, bondage and a wedding, to give that personal touch that separates the artist from regular humans.

Gaga talked about the concept of the video, "The [video is about the] idea that when you're away from someone you love, it's torture […] I knew I wanted the video to be about me sprinting back and walking hundreds of thousands of miles to get him back."
