"Who Owns My Heart" Video Review
"Who Owns My Heart" is taken from Miley Cyrus' third studio album "Can't Be Tamed" which arrived in stores last summer. Instead of following the album with a massive tour across North America like she did with its predecessor "Breakout", Miley chose to concentrate on her big screen projects which include "LOL: Laughing Out Loud" with Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.
Despite all the criticisms she received over her new sexy image, the "Hannah Montana" star continues to go loud in showing her mature side in this newly debuted clip. When she first released the video for "Can't Be Tamed," people said it was a bit too racy.
Tim Winter – president of the Parents Television Council - spoke to TMZ, and said that Miley's sexed-up video gives out the wrong message to her teen following. "It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one," he said about the "Who Owns My Heart" video.
The 17-year-old singer told MTV that the song is about "freeing yourself from anything you think is holding you back."
Miley further explained, "And I think that's really important, especially for girls, because so many people are told, 'No, you can't do something,' or, 'You need to be this because Mom and Dad say that, teachers say this.'"
