Upcoming Kylie Minogue Single Features Collaboration with U.S. Rapper
Over a year ago, Kylie Minogue signed to Roc Nation, and perhaps that relationship is now evident in her latest single – the first official track from her upcoming 12th studio album.
According to Digital Spy, U.S. rapper Brooke Candy will be featured in Minogue’s upcoming track, which will lead into the follow-up to 2010’s Aphrodite. About it, the rapper tweeted: "Also just got word that I'll be recording a feature/verse on Kylie Minogue's first single off her upcoming album this wednesday in London!"
The still-untitled release is the pop star’s first on Roc Nation and features appearances and production from Darkchild, Sia, and Pharrell Williams. So far, only “teaser” single “Skirt” has hinted at what the new album may sound like.
Between Aphrodite and this upcoming release, the singer has put out a couple of singles albums. First last year was hits collection The Best of Kylie Minogue. By fall, The Abbey Road Sessions dropped, with singles “Flower” and “On a Night Like This.” Unlike the singer’s dance-influenced albums, Abbey Road featured orchestral arrangements and re-workings of her classic tracks.
Minogue began talk of working on a new album back when The Abbey Road Sessions hit stores. At the time, she explained preparation began as far back as January 2012 but wasn’t planning to fully focus on it until the start of 2013.
What do you think of Kylie collaborating with Candy? Will the pair create a hit?
