The Saturdays To Crack US With Own Reality Show
The Saturdays are said to be finalising the major TV deal with E! Entertainment, pitching them as the next British girl band to conquer America after the Spice Girls.
According to Daily Star, the five-piece - consisting of Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Una Healy - are expected to "sign a five season deal" that tracks their journey to Stateside stardom after signing with a US record label.
"If it goes well it could transform them from a UK girl band to international stars," said a source close to The Saturdays.
The series is expected to feature a cameo from popular American blogger Perez Hilton, who has often championed the girls on his website.
The Saturdays will also reportedly relocate to America after their forthcoming UK tour in an effort to make this cross-Atlantic success possible. Expectant band mate Una Healy will be absent from the series due to her expanding baby bump but will join the girls in season two.
Despite rumours of the band's split after Una announced her pregnancy, the soon-to-be mum assured fans that she is "fully committed" to the band and their upcoming December tour.
The Saturdays are best known for their hits 'Up', 'Forever Is Over' and the recent UK Top 3 smash 'All Fired Up'. Since they broke out in 2008, the band have sold over two million records and racked up 10 UK Top 10 singles.
The girls will release their next single 'My Heart Takes Over' on 13 November in the UK - just a week before the album "On Your Radar" hits stores.
