"The Kiss Of Dawn" Video Review

The Kiss of Dawn is a song by the Finnish band HIM, set to be released on September 10, 2007. It is the fourth track and first single from the 2007 album Venus Doom. Ville Valo has stated that the song was for a close friend who committed suicide soon after the band wrapped the recording sessions for Dark Light.

The music video was directed by Meiert Avis, who also directed HIM's previous video Wings of a Butterfly. HIM started recording the music video on June 21 in the Los Angeles area. The production team put out a casting call for a "beautiful girl" to perform the lead role in the video. A secret code, "Bleed Well", was included in the video.

The song is heavier than a lot of their of the recent material but reminiscent of the Love Songs 666 material - chunky riffs and a melody - HIM at their finest.
