The Coachella Music Festival Soon To Come
This year's Coachella Festival has again a megastar line-up, with performances by Kanye West, Tinie Tempah, Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon and much more. The three day festival in Indio, California, has been a tremendous music event which has been running for almost 20 years. Organized by Goldenvoice, the event features many types of music and provides big name stars to match.
Being set in the California desert, there is little chance that bad weather will affect the event. Setup around the grounds are comprised of several stages continuously playing live music.
The event will take place from 15th to 17th of April this year. Other musical acts booked to perform include The Strokes, The National, Brandon Flowers, Interpol, Klaxons, Erykah Badu and Mumford & Sons. Patrons can also get a "blast from the past" from Duran Duran, Wire, Big Audio Dynamite and Suede.
R&B superstar, Lauryn Hill, is set to perform. Cult act Elbow, Marina & The Diamonds, Bright Eyes, The Black Keys and many others will cater for all music preferences.
The Coachella Festival is shaping up to again become "the experience" for music fans. It is California's biggest music event, and festival organisers are further developing the site by this year adding a roller skating rink and a free shuttle service to a local Indio grocery store.
Camping is the norm for the event, and three-day passes cost $269. Tickets will be available from January 21.
Festival organisers are very "environmentally conscious", and have factored in numerous carbon friendly initiatives. Carpooling is encouraged, and participants are rewarded with a chance to win a VIP ticket/pass for Life. Also refillable water bottles are filled for free at a number of refill stations inside the festival and within the campgrounds.
