Taylor Swift to Unveil Brand New 'Red' Song at MTV VMAs
It has been confirmed that Taylor Swift will be performing at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, where she will unveil a brand new track from her forthcoming album "Red."
Artists such as Green Day, Pink, Alicia Keys and One Direction have already been confirmed for performances on the show that will take place on September 6, and Swift becomes the latest big name to join them.
"Red," which will be the fourth studio album of her career, is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 22. The disc's lead single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" has already started working its magic on the Billboard Hot 100 and experts believe that it is on track to shattering several records.
Talking about "Red," the "You Belong with Me" crooner recently said: "When I was coming up with the name for this album, it seemed crazy because it was really simple. I wrote a song called 'Red,' and thinking about what that song means to me and all the different emotions on this album they're all pretty much about the tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships I've experienced in the last two years and all those emotions fanning from intense love, intense frustration, intense jealousy, confusion, all of that in my mind, all those emotions are red. There's nothing in between, there's nothing beige about those feelings and so I called my record that."
