Taylor Swift Releases Latest Single “Red”
Taylor Swift’s follow-up to her popular Speak Now is expected to drop later this month. Before that point, she put out the successful “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” As a segue from the first single into the album is “Red,” which debuted this week.
Dropping on Tuesday, “Red,” the album’s title track, is yet another breakup song. Who do you think this track is about? If you have yet to hear the track, listen to it below:
Swift has talked about the full release, previously. Red drops on October 22. What’s different about Red is the songwriting process. While Swift is still the primary songwriter, others contributed toward the album, adding more variety and possibly veering it away from country at points. About the release, the singer said: "I went through a few roller coasters. Trying to chronicle each step of the way was challenging, because you go to some really dark places with the lyrics. Then in the next track, you're talking about how amazing it is to meet somebody new."
Aside from creating and releasing new music, Swift has primarily been in the news recently for her relationship with Conor Kennedy and was selected to play Joni Mitchell in an upcoming film. Additionally, she donated $10,000 and concert tickets to Horace Mann School for the Deaf in Boston.
