Taylor Swift Cancels Concert Due to Military Coup in Thailand
Due to the recent state of events in Thailand, pop country star Taylor Swift has been forced to cancel an upcoming concert that was to be held in Bangkok, the nation's capital city. The country recently declared martial law following months of street protests against their government.
When it was announced that Taylor would no longer be able to perform in Bangkok, she took to Twitter to address her fans, "I'm sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I'm so sad about the concert being canceled."
Concert organizer BEC-Tero have released a statement saying, "This has been a difficult decision for all parties. Taylor, AEG, BEC Tero and 13 Management all express regret and sincere apologies to the fans in Thailand. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding."
Surely this comes as sad news for Taylor's Thai fans who likely could use a light-hearted break from all the chaos. Hopefully T-Swift will be able to make her way back to the area once everything has settled down.
