Taylor Momsen Poses Naked for Pretty Reckless Music Video

There’s rebellion, and then there’s “rebellion.” The former has connotations of anger and drastic change, while the other signifies a switch from Bonne Bell lip gloss to Hot Topic eyeliner to convey teenage posturing. Taylor Momsen, with her overly-done eyes and intentionally tawdry fashion sense, has fallen into the latter: a teen trying so, so hard to be bad but failing.

Until today. Momsen’s latest Pretty Reckless video just released a promo clip, and now the 19-year-old actress and singer appears to have crossed over from teenager try-hard to full on “look at me” mode. And, with Momsen fully nude in the video, she’s certainly garnering the attention.

For song “Under The Water,” the Gossip Girl actress appears in only eyeliner, with parts of her body shadowed or blurred. The clip was directed by Tim Mattia and features the actress-singer narrating her lyrics.

Last year, Momsen talked about quitting acting, and these days, you’re more likely to hear The Pretty Reckless than see her on Gossip Girl. Her character Jenny Humphrey appeared just four times last season, and the actress has been placed on hiatus from the low-rated CW show.

Now that Momsen’s focus is on music, fans should expect more tracks. The latest is the band’s contribution to the Frankenweenie soundtrack, a song called “Only You” for the Target Edition. The full bonus album drops in November.
