Taylor Momsen Announces New Pretty Reckless Single “Going to Hell”

Likely to lead into their upcoming sophomore album, The Pretty Reckless are putting out new single “Going to Hell.” Taylor Momsen Announces New Pretty Reckless Single “Going to Hell”

Gossip Girl has been over, and officially quitting acting, Taylor Momsen continues with her alternative band, The Pretty Reckless. For forwarding her rock career, the band has a new single planned, “Going to Hell” – also the title of their upcoming studio album.

Momsen announced the new single on Twitter at the end of last week. Get ready for “Going to Hell” on September 24, although a preview is expected to come out this Wednesday. Along with these tidbits, The Pretty Reckless go on tour starting September 20 to promote the new release.

About the single, Momsen tweeted: “First news…FINALLY!!!!! OUR FIRST OFFICIAL SINGLE ‘GOING TO HELL’ comes out on itunes on September 24th!!! Second…A VIDEO FOR THE NEW SINGLE WILL BE COMING OUT AFTER THE RELEASE!!!!!! Third…NEXT WEDNESDAY WE’LL BE RELEASING AN EXCLUSIVE CLIP OF THE NEW SONG ‘GOING TO HELL”

“Going to Hell” follows single “Kill Me,” which dropped in December 2012. While Momsen only appeared in a handful of Gossip Girl episodes during its last season (her character, essentially, was phased out by season five), “Kill Me” was still featured in the low-rated television show’s finale.

The Pretty Reckless put out their debut album in 2010, and over the past three years, released an extended EP called Hit Me Like a Man. Their debut’s official follow up comes in the form of Going to Hell, which the band previewed on June 2013. The album, as of yet, does not appear to have an official release date.
