"Take Care" Video Review

Drake premiered the video for his collaboration with Rihanna, the title track from his latest album “Take Care”.

The song is everything the fans expected, from the lush piano led production, to the dance sprinklings, and the incorporation of African Talking drums, it has everything it needs to be a winner. The lyrics are a masterpiece, telling the story of a love lost and a love desired.

The music video was directed by the French director/artist Yoann Lemoine (aka Woodkid).

"It had to go through a process -- I shot it with a director who's incredible and we were just very specific about it. It's a big record and a lot of footage. It's very artistic very abstract video -- something that I wasn't used to. I'm usually sued to a very straight forward concept, so I'm really excited for people to see it because it’s actually just something beautiful to look at," Drake told Capital FM.

Lemoine explained that the video is incredibly minimalist, considering that the two main characters are huge stars.

“It pays tribute to nature. When I listened to the track, I was seeing a landscape... involving animals and massive landscapes. Visually, it's a very humble video. It's not crazy. It's actually the most indie video I've done my whole life. It's probably the most famous artists, and they were so open to a project that was so minimal.”

Next month, Drake is leaving on a huge US tour with J.Cole, Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and French Montana. The rappers will perform in 27 different cities, including Vegas, Washington, Chicago and New York.
