SuperHeavy Releases Music Video For 'Miracle Worker'
Mick Jagger has for the first time in fifty years formed a new supergroup, called SuperHeavy. The new band is made up of a star-studded line-up which so far includes Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics, young English soul singer-songwriter Joss Stone, Indian music genius A. R. Rahman, and Jamaican reggae artist Damian Marley (youngest son of world famous reggae music star, Bob Marley).
So far Mick Jagger says that he is finding it a lot easier working with SuperHeavy than with the 'Stones, having less responsibility in not having to be the sole front-man for the group. In short, Mick claims that he is having "fun", although he is pretty busy "making cups of tea for everyone else".
The Rolling Stones frontman has had a real fascination for Indian for a long time. Loving India with its diverse and wide range of music and musical instruments, Mick is seeing this as a golden opportunity to experiment with a new genre of music and include the very special talents that A. R. Rahman can bring to this new project.
The first track to be released from the self-titled album is the song Miracle Worker. The music video has just been released and shows off the flamboyant Jagger dressed in a gaudy pink suit ... but it's Mick Jagger, so what do you expect? And yes, he certainly "moves like Jagger".
The single has a very heavy reggae influence, and the vocals are shared between Joss Stone, Mick Jagger, Damian Marley and A. R. Rahman. The song has a really happy feel about it, and the video shows the singers showing off their dance moves in a scene that looks like India in parts and somewhere else in others.
The vocal talents of each of the singers are outstanding; easy to see why they were chosen for the group … ah ... SuperGroup!!!
