Stevie Nicks Celebrated Her Birthday With an Intimate Concert at the Witern Theater in LA Stevie Nicks at the Wiltern Theater

Stevie Nicks celebrated her birthday recently by performing a special, intimate show at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. Theatre-goers were enthralled by the magical presence of the Fleetwood Mac singing legend. Performing both new and old songs, she was joined on stage by a few special guests during the evening – special guests including Lindsey Buckingham, Dave Stewart, Mike Campbell, and Mick Fleetwood. With so many living legends (from the Fleetwood Mac era), the concert could only be described as one of those special shows you see once in a lifetime.

Fortunately, the show was filmed, so not doubt it will be available on DVD in the near future.

She began the evening with her trademark swirl as she started with the track Stand Back . And for each song, she introduced each track with a story regarding the song, or about when she wrote the song. The 16 track set list contained songs from her new CD In Your Dreams and of course some of her classics. In case this latest CD hasn't yet been heard, a review of the album is available at Rolling Stone website

Stevie also spoke about a song she wrote after one of her many visits to the soldiers recovering in the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington (D.C.). Saying that it started out as a poem, she had a lot of difficulty transforming it into a song. "So I called my partner in crime," and out came Lindsey Buckingham. Patrons regarded this moment as one of the most moving sections of the evening. There was hardly a dry eye in the house!

Patrons were more than pleased with a memorable 2 hours of wonderful entertainment. More information can be found at The Nick's Fix
