"Sorry, Blame It On Me" Video Review
"Sorry, Blame It On Me" is an R&B song written by Akon for the re-release of his second studio album Konvicted, which will be available August 28, 2007. It was co-produced by Clinton Sparks and released as the album's fifth single in 2007.
The song is an apology written by Akon to Gwen Stefani, among others. The apology is regarding the fact that in early June 2007 Verizon dropped support for Gwen's The Sweet Escape Tour, due to a problem with Akon's dancing with an underage, 15-year-old girl at a club in Trinidad in April 2007, even though the club was only for people 21 and up. Because Akon is touring with Gwen, this resulted in Verizon dropping support for her entire tour. In mid-June 2007 Akon apologized to Gwen, and she allegedly accepted it. However, that apparently wasn't enough for Akon, and he wrote a song to support the authenticity of his apology to Gwen Stefani.
People that Akon apologizes to in the song:
* His wife, Tomeka
* His sons, JahJah and Mohammed
* His mother
* Dayna Alleyne (Underage girl)
* The underage girl's father
* The club the incident happened at (Club Zen)
* Gwen Stefani
