Snow Patrol Release A Music Video For 'In The End'
The music video begins with a lead singer, Gary Lightbody, standing in front of a microphone. He is very formally dressed in a tuxedo and is on stage in a large theatre. On the stage, two ballroom dancers gracefully begin to waltz. As the music tempo speeds up, the two dancers show off their style with exciting moves as they glide around the stage. Further into the clip, the dancers suddenly spread out into a large dance hall, and then into an expensively decorated room adorned with large mirrors.
They dance ever so gracefully, and the mirrors lift the spirit of the event to an even higher level. The way the dancers move and twirl is spell-binding. When he spins her around, she elevates up ever so highly. It is magnificently graceful, yet it is unnatural to move up that high. Gary sings, "Have we lost the magic that we once had?", like the way the young lady was magically lifted much higher than expected.
The clip is very uplifting, showing happy times when a couple madly in love could do the impossible. When they danced, every step was in perfect time with each other. When they revolve, they effortlessly spin around, and when lifted up, it is without exertion - truly magical.
The decorations in the ballroom are simply magnificent. The huge marble columns are barely noticeable next to the brilliantly sparkling chandeliers. It is a ballroom that speaks of majestic opulence - absolutely stunning!
This uplifting music video comes out just as Snow Patrol prepare to start their tour of the UK and Ireland to promote their "Fallen Empires" album.
