Singer k.d. lang And Partner Jamie Price Split

Fifty year old Canadian singer k.d. lang has separated from her long time partner Jamie Price.  Lang, who is responsible for such hits as ‘Constant Craving’ and ‘Miss Chatelaine’, filed legal papers, a Dissolution of Domestic Partnership, in Los Angeles Superior Court this past December 30th to end her union with Price, according to reports from TMZ.  Lang cited “irreconcilable differences” for the couple’s split after registering for a domestic partnership back in 2009.

Dating back to early 2000 Lang had been involved with 'The L Word' actress Leisha Hailey.  It was shortly after their break-up that the performer ended up meeting Price in 2002, and within a year the two became serious.

Together for a reported nine years, lang and Price both lived in Beverly Hills in lang’s home, making public appearances periodically.  Back in 2008 lang had reportedly spoke about the pros and cons of being a singer with New York Magazine.  “Being on the road for a year at a time is really hard because all your insecurities come to the surface, just being away and this supposedly glamorous life.” 

Appearing happy last year at the 18^th Annual Elton John Aids Foundation Academy Awards party, things have since gone downhill for the couple.  Together both Lang and Price have no children to speak up.  Per the paperwork filed, lang has requested that neither of the woman should be paid support, while making both pay their own attorney fees and court costs.  Just how they plan to split their properties and other assets will be determined.
