Serious Throat Illness Forces Kelly Rowland to Leave X Factor

Kelly Rowland will be resting the vocal cords that made her famous for a while.  The former member of Destiny’s Child has been hit with a serious throat infection and will need to rest up which, unfortunately, means she will have to withdraw from her duties as a judge on the British version of The X Factor. It must be quite nasty since her absence is being described as “indefinite.” 

Rowland’s rep announced:  "Kelly is devastated she won't be here for this weekend's show. She is extremely ill with a viral throat infection and her doctors aren't permitting her to fly. Kelly will be returning to the show as soon as she has recovered. The girls have been in touch to wish her speedy recovery and they can't wait for her to get back. More news as we have it."  

The singer has been very busy with her judging duties as well as performing hits including “Motivation.”  Maybe there is something in the water?  British singer, Adele, has had to cancel all of her upcoming tour dates after undergoing throat surgery.  Rest up, ladies!
