Sandi Thom 'The Sun Comes Crashing Down' Free Download
Scottish singer-songwriter, Sandi Thom, is about to release her next studio album. Entitled Flesh and Blood, this will be her fourth studio album, and is due out on 14th August on her own label, Guardian Angel Records. In preparation for the new album, Sandi has issued the lead single "The Sun Comes Crashing Down" as a free download from her website.
Sandi Thom became widely known in 2006 following a number of webcasts where she got recognition for her talent as a singer. Her debut single, "I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair)", released about the same time as the webcasts, scored well in the English and Australian charts - reaching double platinum status in Australia. She has since released three studio albums as well as a compilation album, all of which have had a mixed reaction in the charts.
"The Sun Comes Crashing Down" has a real country-music feel about it. The music is good with plenty of drum beats and solid guitar strumming, while Sandi sings strongly. There is no doubt about her vocal prowess as she sings the lyrics clearly with the professionalism of one talented performer. It is a great song to listen to.
In addition to new music, Sandi Thom has released a cover version of the Johnny Cash classic tune, "Hurt". Many fans had requested Sandi's spin on the track, and most agree that she did a superb job of putting her own spin on this remarkable tune.
