Ryan Tedder Says Taylor Swift is “The Quickest Songwriter”
Since the fall, Taylor Swift has been giving updates about the state of her next album, but most of what she says is fairly vague and run of the mill. This week, however, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder came forward in an interview to say that he’s been working with her and then went onto talk about the Red singer’s songwriting abilities!
Tedder, as well as possibly Diane Warren, looks to be the pool of songwriters collaborating on her in-the-works album. When speaking about this process, Tedder explained: "I did a little stuff with Taylor, who’s probably the fastest songwriter I ever met in my life. I can go on record saying that Taylor is genuinely the quickest songwriter I’ve ever- for anyone who doubts it she writes her own stuff. Any idea and you’re like ‘Yeah I don’t know if I like that lyric’ and she’ll have three options, replaced within 10 seconds, she’s like bam bam bam. She’s bit of a prodigy, bit of a songwriting prodigy."
The album following up Swift’s 2012 release looks to be different – she’s previously called it a “reinvention” – but the same in other areas, such as claiming it will be “confessional.” Either way, the “I Knew You Were Trouble” star has previously told the press that she’s ahead of schedule – so we might see this release sooner than expected!
