Rod Stewart to Release a Christmas Album This Fall

It’s incredible to believe but, somehow, legendary British singer, Rod Stewart, has never released a Christmas album.  Justin Bieber is just 18 years old and he’s already got one under his belt. Some singers have even released more than one.  If you’ve been waiting patiently to have Stewart’s signature vocals filling your home with holiday cheer, you will be happy to know that your wait is almost over.

Now that he’s with Universal Music Group, Stewart has decided that it was time to release his own Christmas album and he will have a little help from famous friends like producer, David Foster, who helped create the incredibly successful holiday sets by Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban.

An official statement from the label, which also explains that the album will include some “star studded” duets, said: "Stewart's warm, expressive and distinctively raspy voice is proving a perfect fit for the holiday classics."

I completely agree but it’s really strange.  In my mind, I can hear Stewart singing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”  Is it just so perfect a fit that it’s that easy to imagine?  I guess so.  I’m looking forward to hearing this holiday album while I bake gingerbread cookies this winter.
