Rockefeller Tree Lighting to Feature Mariah Carey, Cee Lo Green and More

It's Christmas time again (can you believe it) so bring on the great holiday specials! Rockefeller Tree Lighting to Feature Mariah Carey, Cee Lo Green and More

It’s just about that time again!  The annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center will be televised on November 29, 2012 and, for many, the event marks the true beginning of the holiday season.  How exciting!

Set in New York City, the show will feature special appearances by Bette Midler and Billy Crystl (no doubt to promote their upcoming movie, Parental Advisory) but also includes a massive list of incredible performers.

One interesting dynamic is that stars from rival reality singing competitions, American idol and The Voice, will be on-hand.  Mariah Carey will belt out “Christmas Time is in the Air Again” from her 2010 album, Merry Christmas II You while Cee Lo Green will likely sing a song from his own recently released holiday album.

Younger viewers might be thrilled to see Victoria Justice on the 80th anniversary of the special.  Her popular show, Victorious was recently cancelled by Nickelodeon but she tweeted that being at Rockefeller Center was a dream come true.

Country fans might want to tune in to see Trace Adkins perform his new Celtic-inspired “We Three Kings” while American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery was a last-minute addition to the show.

The performances will be rounded out by Rod Stewart, Il Volo and The Voice’s Chris Mann and will be televised on NBC at 7pm ET.
