Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ Album Available for Preview
Has Robin Thicke’s chart-topping single “Blurred Lines” and (very) risqué video peaked your attention? If you’re waiting for what the rest of the album sounds like, now’s your chance.
Announced this week, a preview of the album, albeit not the entire release, is streaming through Interscope’s Soundcloud page, allowing fans to listen to parts of all Blurred Lines’ 10 tracks in advance of its July 30 official release date.
The follow-up to 2011’s Love After War has already seen a fair amount of success with its first single. “Blurred Lines,” released officially on March 26, has ascended to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, while the video, just days after release, amassed a million views on Vevo.
But while Thicke was apparently attempting to be a serious singer on his previous effort, Blurred Lines is more about fun. In speaking about the release, he previously said:
"I've realized as I've gotten older that we all think we're living either in a black or white world, or on a straight path, but most of us are living right in between those straight lines. And everything you thought you knew, the older you get, you realize, 'Damn, I don't know nothing about this. I better pay attention, I better listen and keep learning.' So I think that, that's what I've been realizing these past few years."
If you haven’t yet listened to the streaming audio, hear it on Interscope’s Soundcloud. The tracklist includes:
1. “Blurred Lines” (featuring T.I. and Pharrell)
2. “Take It Easy On Me”
3. “Ooo La La ”
4. “Ain’t No Hat 4 That”
5. “Get In My Way”
6. “Give It 2 U” (featuring Kendrick Lamar)
7. “Feel Good”
8. “Go Stupid 4 U”
9. “4 The Rest Of My Life”
10. “Top Of The World”
11. “The Good Life”
