Robin Thicke Releases Creepy 'Get Her Back' Music Video
The three-minute-and-forty-four-seconds-long video was put out by the 37-year-old R&B singer on Monday, June 23.
The song's lyrical content and the visuals are both clearly directed towards his wife Paula Patton who is currently estranged from him.
Thicke is seen shirtless in the video, singing emotionally with the hope that his missus might give their marriage a second chance after viewing it. During the course of the video, text exchanges between the couple are also shown on the screen. In them, Thicke's tone is obviously apologetic while Patton's messages explain why they're not together anymore.
He sings: "I never should have raised my voice or made you feel so small/I never should have asked you to do anything at all/I should have kissed you longer/I should have held you stronger/And I'll wait for forever for you to love me again."
At the end of the video, Thicke says: "this is just the beginning." Hence, it seems this isn't going to be his sole corny attempt at winning Patton back.
Thicke's fans first got a taste of Get Her Back at Billboard Music Awards last month. It will be a part of his seventh studio album Paula that is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 1.
