Rihanna Working With Fazer for Upcoming Seventh Album

Fazer, producer of N-Dubz and Tulisa Contostavlos’ “Young,” may be signed onto produce tracks on Rihanna’s seventh album. Rihanna Working With Fazer for Upcoming Seventh Album

Work on Rihanna’s seventh studio album is already underway. While the singer herself has not spoken directly about it, a source recently revealed a few details to The Sun.

More specifically, Fazer was asked to produce a few tracks for the still-untitled record. Rihanna has been a fan of the producer/rapper, apparently. His work on N-Dubz singer Tulia Contostavlos’ “Young” reportedly impressed her. However, it doesn’t look like he’s 100-percent signed on. The source said: "Rihanna's team heard his production on Tulisa's 'Young' and his new single 'Killer' and thought he'd be ideal for her album. He's got decent producing experience under his belt with all the N-Dubz material.

"Fazer's now knuckling down to the job and making tracks tailor-made for her.

"If her team are impressed, she'll record the vocals with him."

Aside from potentially Fazer, Ne-Yo and Labrinth are already attached to the project.

At the end of June, the initial stages for Rihanna’s seventh album already transpired, with the singer meeting with a team of songwriters and producers in London. At the time, Eric Bellinger, Sean Garrett, and Swedish House Mafia were in talks for the record.

While Rihanna is preparing for her tour in support of Talk That Talk in 2013, she reportedly canceled rehearsal to go on vacation with Drake recently.

As producers seem to define each Rihanna album, who would you like her to work with for her seventh album? Is having Fazer, Ne-Yo, and Labrinth on board an indication that this release will have more of a hip-hop sound – a departure from the dance vibe of Talk That Talk?
