Rihanna Returning to Club Sound With Eighth Studio Album
Since the summer, an eighth studio album for Rihanna has been rumored. The singer herself hasn’t come forward to talk about it, but now DJ Mustard, best known for producing Will.i.am and Miley Cyrus’ collaboration “Feelin’ Myself,” spoke with HipHollywood about his work with the “Diamonds” singer.
DJ Mustard revealed he plans to return to the club when working with the pop star – something that was missing from Unapologetic. About this, he said: "We're going straight to the club. Whatever I do goes to the club. I'm just getting ready. When I see artists I want to work with, I start doing stuff that's in their pocket, but it's still me. I'm just doing what I think [Rihanna] would like, and if she doesn't like it we'll just figure something else out in the studio. I'll just keep making beats until we figure it out."
There’s no word how many tracks DJ Mustard will be producing.
DJ Mustard doesn’t look to be the only producer attached to the project. Earlier reports have Nicky Romero, a Dutch house producer best known for songs “I Could Be The One,” “Toulouse,” “Generation 303,” and “S.O.T.U.,” attached to album. Romero, as well, mentioned David Guetta may be producing the singer’s still-untitled eighth studio album. Previously, Guetta and Rihanna put together hit “Who’s That Chick.”
