Regina Spektor Is 'Super Pregnant;' Won't Attend The Grammys
Regina Spektor has earned herself a Grammy nomination this year and she could very well go on to achieve what would be his first win at the show, but she will not be on hand to collect the trophy, if it happens.
The 33-year-old singer, in her own words, is 'super pregnant' and will skip Sunday's event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. She made the announcement via her account on Facebook, telling her fans: "I was so happy to be nominated for my first Grammy! I would have definitely gone to LA for all the fun, in a party dress and with bells on, if I wasn't so super pregnant at the moment. (!!!!!!!!!!).
"Jack and I are very excited to be expecting a brand new human together!!! I've been spending most of my time writing songs, dreaming up the new record, cooking soup, eating soup, and being very grateful for the people in my life- family, friends, and you..."
Spektor's song "You've Got Time" – which she recorded for Netflix's series "Orange Is The New Black" is the reason why she has been nominated for the category of Best Song Written for Visual Media.
But not being able to attend the Grammys doesn't mean she won't be watching it, as she herself added: "I'll see you from the couch."
