Rebecca Black Releases "Person of Interest" Music Video
In March of 2011, Rebecca Black broke on to the scene when she released a music video via the web for her song “Friday”. The fourteen-year-old Californian teen went viral as millions tuned in to what was dubbed as the “worst song ever”. Now, she hopes to redeem herself and triumph over critics, continuing her music career.
Rebecca has now released the music video for her latest single “Person of Interest”. She described the song as, “It’s about almost teenage crushes — when you’re not in love yet but you really like a guy — which I’m really excited about because I don’t think there are too many out like that. It’s very much a dance type song. It will make you get up and dance and sing along in your car.”
The video consists of Black speaking with police about her “person of interest” and having a blast at the local arcade with a Bieber-esque looking boy toy. The lyrics are lacking a bit but it’s a far cry better than what we saw in “Friday”.
Rebecca also had another single which followed “Friday” and was titled “My Moment”. It was kind of a stand to the bullies and critics who put her down.
She was also featured in Katy Perry’s music video for “Last Friday Night” and said that the pop star had some words advice. Most importantly she was told to stay grounded, which Rebecca found to be one of the most helpful pieces of advice to date.
She also recently mentioned she’d be up for collaboration with rapper Pitbull. We’ll see how that turns out! Rebecca seems to have a good head on her shoulders. And at the very least the quality of music she’s been given has improved a little bit.
