"Reach Out" Video Review
"Reach Out" is a dance-pop song performed by Hilary Duff and was released in 2008 as the first single from Duff's compilation album "Best of Hilary Duff".
The song was produced by Ryan Tedder (of OneRepublic) and co-written by Tedder, Evan Bogart and Mika Guillory. It uses a sample from Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus".
The music video for "Reach Out" features up and coming rapper The Prophet and was filmed on September 13–14, 2008 in Los Angeles, California; directed by Philip Andelman.
There are brief face shots where Duff can be seen sporting a black blindfold and ponytail, similar to Madonna in her "Erotica" video.
