Rapper DMX's Rap Sheet Grows Some More
Rapper DMX was arrested by police for driving without a license in the early hours of Wednesday morning in South Carolina. The controversial MC was driving a 1978 Buick Regal with his infant daughter and had purportedly stopped at a gas station for a re-fill when the police apprehended him and took him to Spartanburg Detention Center.
The "Party Up (Up in Here)" hitmaker spent five hours under police custody and was then released after paying the fine for committing the offence.
Later on, he told the media: "They watched me at the gas station and get in the car. They followed me around the corner, pulled me over, put the cuffs on me and brought me here. I paid the money, when I could have just paid the money right there on the spot. Basically it was just five hours wasted for nothing. I don't have a court date or a court appearance."
DMX has a very long rap sheet and so his latest arrest isn't a surprise for anyone. Drug possession, animal cruelty, reckless driving and identity falsification are some of his other antics that have landed him in trouble with the law in the past. He has also been accused of committing serious criminal offences such as rape, sodomy, stabbing and unlawful imprisonment, although none of them could be proven in the court of law.
