The club-like electronic beats mean that 'Raise The Roof' wouldn't be out of place on a dancefloor, but the harrowing nature of her voice mixed with lyrics such as "all those years I wasted, if I'd only known" make it both laid back and sad.
Raise The Roof video rounds things off with its feet still in clubland, waving its hands in the air...like anyone cares.
Come the album closer, Raise The Roof, which hints at both Queen’s Radio Ga-Ga and the general style of The Eurythmics you’ll be singing Thorn’s praises once again and hoping that it won’t take another five years before she lays down any more recordings.
