Pusha T Plans to Enter Studio With The Neptunes for New Album
Although releasing his debut album as a solo artist back in October, Pusha T is already starting work on a follow up. According to an interview he did with Miss Info, he plans to go into the studio next month with The Neptunes.
This isn’t the first time Pusha T worked with the production duo. Previously, he recorded with them when still part of group Clipse with his brother.
Right now, the release is being called King Push. A release date hasn’t been set.
As far as the recording process is concerned, Pusha T told Miss Info: "I don't know when I'm dropping the next one, but I can tell everybody January 2, me, Chad [Hugo] and Pharrell are going in the studio for 20 days. That's what's going to start off the King Push album....The title is definitely King Push."
King Push follows the successful My Name is My Name, which came out on October 8 in the U.S. on G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam. Featuring collaborations from several artists and production from Kanye West, the release garnered mostly positive reviews and was added to multiple “Best of 2013” lists.
Since its release more than two months ago, My Name is My Name reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.
