PSY "Gangnam Style" Music Video Makes History

The Korean Rapper Has Chalked Up Nearly A Quarter Of A Million Hits On Youtube In Three Months PSY "Gangnam Style" Music Video Makes History

"Gangnam Style" by PSY has made history by reaching almost 250 million hits on YouTube, making it the most watched K-pop video ever watched. Praised for its catchy rhythm, you just can't sit there watching the clip and not get involved with the beat and melody. The uncanny side-to-side dance move of the young Korean rapper, although unusual, is every bit "watchable".

In the three months since its release, "Gangnam Style" has attracted more than 2 million likes ... up there with LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" and "Baby" by Justin Bieber.

This now places it in the Guinness Book of Records. Talking about the achievement, Dan Barrett from GB of R, said, "In years past, it was unthinkable that something would be viewed a hundred million times, and now 'Gangnam Style' has achieved more than twice this figure in just three months on YouTube. PSY - your certificate is waiting here at our office, come pick it up any time!"

Due to the sudden fame, PSY has been offered requests to appear on many popular US shows including "Today" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". PSY has also been nominated for Best Video at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards. This places him alongside the likes of Katy Perry and Lady GaGa.

The video goes to a variety of different locations - starting in a resort, going to a horse stable, the entrance to an underground carpark and more. The possibilities go one, you don't see any pattern or logic to the clip, but you feel the infectious beat. Within moments it becomes impossible to sit still!

The song just keeps on going. No wonder it's such a huge hit.
