PSY and Hammer Collaborating After Amazing AMA Performance
When PSY was tapped to close the American Music Awards Sunday night, he knew that, after weeks of his song “Gangnam Style saturating the market, he’d have to do something incredible and he definitely pulled it off. After brainstorming with his manager, Scooter Braun, they came up with the perfect idea.
As the Korean star took the stage, it was immediately obvious that he was wearing Hammer pants and that his dancers were dressed a little differently but it seemed more like an artistic expression than anything else but, about halfway through the performance, it was clear that there was a far better reason.
When the spotlight revealed that Hammer had joined PSY on stage, the crowd were both bewildered and beside themselves. The end result was an awesome hybrid of "Gangnam Style" and "2 Legit 2 Quit," with both men dancing in each other’s styles. Really, it was a spectacle to behold.
Now, the pair are hoping to take this opportunity to the next level. Hammer said that they “absolutely love working together" and, after describing PSY as a “very humble man,” he revealed that they are “cooking in the kitchen right now."
If it’s anything as exciting as their performance Sunday night, we’re in for a treat. In case you missed it, here’s the epic on-stage mash up!
