"Promise Ring" Video Review

Like many girls her age, 14-year-old Tiffany Evans practices dance moves in front of the mirror, pours over fashion magazines, goes to the movies, spends time reading (she's fond of history), and loves hanging out with her friends. Though her interests might be typical for a teen, her musical gifts are another story.

"The only way to play is this promise ring," Tiffany sings on her latest single. The production is a soft hip-hop hybrid, propping sparkling synths over hard beats, as Tiffany plays the virtuous tart, delivering sugary pleas for teeny-bop commitment with a voice that is sweet and comely. Ciara guests, and ATL's Mr. Collipark mans the boards.
