Planet Hollywood “Cheat Sheet” Shows Britney Spears Won’t Sing Live
Out of all possible singers, Britney Spears seems like the least likely to do a two-year-long residency in Las Vegas. Yet, that’s what the “Gimme More” pop star signed up for, with dates starting on December 27.
But ever since rumors started earlier in 2013, we’ve all been wondering, “Will Britney actually sing live?” A “cheat sheet” from Planet Hollywood, obtained by the New York Daily News, actually denies this notion.
The document includes statements regarding what the staff can say about Spears’ and the backing band’s performance. Mainly, they’re all variations about how the pop star and any accompanying musicians are live.
But from this point, the document reveals everything is prerecorded. The venue’s staff, however, needs to “try and stay in the margins of the provided answers and refrain from elaborating replies.”
The source further states the document further instructs: “Do not share this with anyone outside of Planet Hollywood. They aren't going to be happy about you having this document. They don’t want fans knowing Britney is going to be calling this tour in.”
Caesars Entertainment has since denied these statements are accurate.
The report contrasts from an interview Spears’ manager did with Billboard last month. At the time, he stated Spears plans to sing live, albeit with a backing track at points, and is currently doing intensive rehearsals with choreographers and a vocal coach.
