Phillip Phillips Drops New Song 'Take Me Away'

After performing his new song ‘Take Me Away’ this past Monday at a Philadelphia radio event for Mix 106.1, Phillip Phillips' guitar driven track has made it to the web for all ears.  Showing off his slow tune that talks of a deep abyss, grey clouds and a life saving love, Phillips tweeted, “I had fun fun @MixPhiladelphia with @errolcooney…..tore it up on old love! Ha."

As confirmed by Ace Showbiz, it has yet to be confirmed if Phillips song ‘Take Me Away’ will be part of the American Idol star’s debut album.  An album he shares that he has been working on when he has down time from the Idol tour and other commitments with the inspiration of several different artists.  "I've written with people who aren't like me, then I've written with people who totally get it. It's like a blind date, and you never know what's going to happen," he shared wit MTV.

Adding, "But it's really cool because they learn from you and you learn a little bit from them. And sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. I'm more critical about my writing, and I've worked with some people who are even more critical, and I like that. You just learn new things from different people ... I've worked with some cool people so far."
