Paris Hilton Officially Releases Single “Good Time”
After making a flop in the mid-‘00s, Paris Hilton is giving music another try – this time with an electronic dance music sound. As a prelude to future sounds, “Good Time” came out today.
Afrojack, once assumed to be Hilton’s boyfriend, produced the track, while Lil Wayne does a guest verse. The track comes out through Cash Money, which signed the heiress earlier this year.
Lil Wayne isn’t the only collaborator working with Hilton. She’s expected to have created tracks with Snoop Dogg and Flo Rida.
Hilton looks to be bridging EDM and hip-hop with her upcoming album, scheduled to come out in 2014. She’s been reportedly working on material since 2011, supposedly with LMFAO, David Guetta, and even Deadmau5 at various points. At one point, a track called “Drunk Text,” featuring Manufactured Superstars, surfaced. She said in a recent interview with Billboard: "I love hip hop and I love dance music, so I think bringing those together makes an amazing song."
Along with singing electronic music, Hilton’s been doing a bit of DJing, including a few performances on Ibiza. More shows throughout parts of Europe and Asia are scheduled for the rest of the year.
If you haven’t heard the track, listen to a preview here. What do you think? Is it better than “Stars Are Blind”?
