One Direction Tease Single “Kiss You,” Talk Video
With a successful sophomore album that spawned two singles, One Direction look to continue their streak with “Kiss You.” So far, the single, the third from Take Me Home, has just been released as a lyric video, but the proper promotion is expected to appear on January 7.
The lyric video surfaced last week, giving fans a taste of the track ahead of time. A small group of fans, it has been rumored, got to view the finished “Kiss You” video as part of the Bring Me to 1D competition. Apparently, the visuals allude to Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock.
Since the lyric video appeared, One Direction sat down with MTV. Discussing the upcoming video, the group’s Niall Horan spoke positively of director Vaughan Arnell, who previously worked with the British boyband on the “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things” videos. Horan said: “I love working with Vaughan. He’s such a nice fella, he gets us. And he’s real easy to work with.”
Additionally, the group revealed the “Kiss You” video should have more of a comedy angle, featuring 1D goofing around somewhat.
But videos online and occasionally on television won’t be the last we’ll see One Direction. Just a few months ago, it was revealed a 3-D movie, much in the vein as Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never, is in the works for the former X Factor contestants. Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) is directing.
