One Direction’s Liam and Louis Go Into Studio With Good Charlotte for Next Album
We know a new album has been in the works for One Direction, following up last year’s Midnight Memories. The successful release went for a harder, rockier sound, and based on who the boys are working in the studio with, it appears they’re still going down that path.
On March 9, Louis Tomlinson confirmed the group has been recording with Good Charlotte. He wrote: “Great working with the Good Charlotte boys today !!”
Members from the pop-punk band followed up on his statements. Benji Madden directly responded to the tweet, writing: “Good day today w/ @Louis_Tomlinson and @Real_Liam_Payne lotta laughs #1D #Directioners their new album is crazy. homies!! #Noice”
Then, on Instagram, Joel Madden posted a picture of the two Good Charlotte members standing with Liam Payne. He captioned that with: "Noice! The London boyz putting in tha werk in the studio #1D."
Good Charlotte isn’t the only rock act working with One Direction. Last year, Justin Young of the Vaccines also recorded with them, while Harry Styles is said to be spending some time with Irish band Kodaline.
Recently, rumors of a breakup surfaced, as all members hadn’t seen each other in three months by the time the Brit Awards rolled around. Now with the band going on tour again, they’re expected to continue working on their fourth album while still on the road.
