One Direction On Saturday Night Live
Last Saturday night, One Direction trans-"raced" themselves from Brits into Spaniards. In a well kept secret, the ONE D'ers became Sofia Vergara's "children" for the night on Saturday Night Live.
Eagerly awaited for some time now, One Direction on SNL has been the talk of the town ever since the guys have been signed up for the appearance. And lately, there has been a lot of talk about the much anticipated performance. Just last week, the guys let some clues slip that they love to laugh, and that they hoped everyone would get more than a few giggles out of their show ... and it seems as if everyone did!
As soon as host for the night, Sofia Vergara, introduced the boyband, the audience roared with excitement. The One D'ers worked a brilliant choreographic sequence to introduce and perform What Makes You Beautiful, much to the cheers and enthusiasm of the studio audience.
Later during the evening, the audience were treated to a second performance. This time the guys sang One Thing another popular track from their debut album Up All Night - which they released last November. Again, the studio audience loved it.
To add a bit of fun to the night, for the evening's skit, the fivesome dressed as Spanish children wearing wigs and moustaches. They were part of a "dysfunctional family" in which their grandmother is imprisoned and even more scandal in the family. The video of the skit can be seen in some locations via this link.
The audience (and viewers) loved the ONE D'ers singing performances, and everyone got a laugh from the Spanish kids skit.
