Noel Gallagher to Perform New James Bond Theme Song?
James Bond will be appearing in his twenty third film, Skyfall, which will feature Daniel Craig in the title role for the third time. Details about the film are still scant but the plot takes place after the events of Quantum of Solace but viewers can expect Bond to have some sort of crisis of conscious while he clashes with M, solves a mystery and eliminates threats.
The movie has been plagued with problems largely stemming from the production being halted due to MGM’s financial problems. What that squared away, the producers are faced with finding a solution to that all important question – who will sing the theme song for the world’s most productive spy?
A number of rumors have swirled around this issue with artists like the late Amy Winehouse and Adele being thrown into the mix but, finally, one is seeming to become a more plausible option. Noel Gallagher, formerly of the group Oasis, recorded a song with his band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, what was never released and is being considered as the theme song for the new Bond flick.
Of the song, titled “Freaky Teeth,” Gallagher said: "They're going to talk about potentially writing and performing the song for next year's new Bond film. Nothing is signed or official, it's just being discussed at the moment."
It’s more than plausible that Gallagher could create a song with enough mystique to serve as the new Bond theme song.
Skyfall is expected to premiere on October 26, 2012.
