No Internal Rifts among Spice Girls, Says Halliwell
Some news agencies had recently claimed that the world had seen the last of the Spice Girls and the singing quintet would never perform together again. But Geri Halliwell has denied the accuracy of those reports, saying that the group members are still very fond of each other and a future reunion shouldn't be ruled out.
It was earlier reported that Victoria Beckham had brought up the idea of never reuniting ever again after their performance at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics and the rest of her bandmates agreed with her.
The tabloid that first came up with the report was The Daily Star, whose source told them: "Victoria loved one final swansong but that's it for her. All the girls had the most amazing night and I'm sure the rest could be persuaded to reform again."
However, Halliwell has now come forward to say that there are no internal rifts in the group and all the Spice Girls still "love and accept each other."
In an interview with Hello magazine, the singer alternatively known as Ginger Spice said: "No matter what's happened in the past, we love and accept each other. I always laugh most when I'm around them."
The "Scream If You Wanna Go Faster" crooner then tried to give some more proof of the harmony within the group by revealing that the girls also celebrated her 40th birthday on August 6.
"The girls were very sweet and made me feel special. There was a cake, lovely presents – and elegant, pretty necklace – and singing of course," Halliwell added.
