No Doubt New Album 'Push And Shove'
No Doubt have just released the title of their next album, calling it Push and Shove. Originally planned to be released in the latter half of 2011, the band decided to "not rush things" and re-scheduled the release of the album to the end of September, 2012. In a recent interview, lead singer, Gwen Stefani said about the new disk, "It's so exciting to have a record coming out, and we all want the same thing. We want it to be modern, and catchy, and addictive."
When asked about the album, No Doubt stated that the tracks will have an influence of ska and reggae music. This will be the group's first new album since 2001,when they released Rock Steady, a CD from which two of the singles received Grammy Awards. During the time between 2001 to now, No Doubt have been touring and working on their solo careers. Gwen Stefani released two solo albums, Love Angel Music Baby in 2004 and in 2006, The Sweet Escape. She also started her family, as well as debuting a number of clothing lines.
Now their hiatus is over, and all the cast have reformed to be part of the new record and music.
Preceding the new album will be the first single "Settle Down" followed by its music video. It will premiere in mid July. Again it will be directed by Sophie Muller, director of many of their previous videos including "Don't Speak", "Underneath It All", "Sunday Morning" and "Simple Kind of Life" .
