One Direction has been a teen demographic favourite ever since its five members were grouped to form the band after they failed to make the cut as solo performers. The quintet - consisting of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan - came third in the 2010 X Factor series and secured a £2 million recording contract with Syco - Simon Cowell's signature record label.
The premiere of One Direction's debut music video appears to have been strategically released to coincide with the new X Factor series, which began screening in the UK yesterday. The video for 'What Makes You Beautiful' was shot in Malibu Beach, Los Angeles, and it features the boys going on a summer road trip, playing in the water and flirting with girls. Keith Urban sings with his band on the beach in this latest music video for his current single Long Hot Summer. Written by Keith Urban in collaboration with Grammy Award Winning hitmaker Richard Marx, the tune is in the top 10 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. The video was filmed in Malibu - the beach community in California.
It is a happy clip as friends are seen enjoying each other's company. Two female friends drive off in a convertible on a bright sunny day, carefree and happy. Another shot shows a surfer on a board enjoying being on the water, then catching a wave. Snow Patrol has just released its latest music video for the soon-to-be-released track Called Out In The Dark. The clip is filmed in a movie studio and shows the action that occurs behind the scenes with the director, camera-man, and all the assistants. It begins with Snow Patrol front-man, Gary Lightbody, standing at the microphone behind which is a small group of dancers.
He prepares to sing when he is suddenly replaced by "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor Jack Davenport. Smartly dressed in a suit, Jack walks in, takes over the mic, and frontman Gary – unaware of what is happening - walks out. Gaga’s role in Cher’s comeback role has been vague.
