Coldplay to Headline Glastonbury for the Third Time

Coldplay to Headline Glastonbury for the Third Time

Pop band Coldplay are to headline the Saturday night of the Glastonbury Festival. This will be the third time in their career that they have done so, according to the Sun newspaper.

Michael Eavis, the organiser and founder of the Glastonbury music festival hinted at the identity of the Sunday night headliner stating it is "an American artist that I've been wanting for yonks and yonks".[…] Read more »

Even the band's publicist has released a firm statement denying any prospects of a tour, saying, "The Stones confirmed today they have no firm plans to tour at this time." The rep was quick to add that the band-members, including Sir Mick Jagger, are not involved in the legal problems in any way what-so-ever. He continued, "Following the end of the 2007 A Bigger Bang world tour The Rolling Stones became free from any contractual arrangements or agreements with Michael Cohl.
