Nicola Roberts - famously recognised as one fifth of Britain's biggest girl band Girls Aloud - is now moving on to her second solo single 'Lucky Day' after the lacklustre chart performance of its predecessor.
The ginger singer/songwriter flew out to New York two weeks ago to shoot the music video and has promptly announced that the single will be released on 18 September in the UK, just a week before her album "Cinderella's Eyes" arrives.
'Lucky Day', co-written by Nicola and Canadian electro pop duo Dragonette, is an addictive summery pop piece that recalls the energy of the best Girls Aloud singles.

As part of Oasis, Noel Gallagher had released seven studio albums over a 14-year period, selling millions worldwide to solidify their place as one of the most influential bands in Britpop history.
After the band split in 2009, Noel took some time away from the limelight while his estranged brother and Oasis front man Liam Gallagher forged on with a new band: Beady Eye.
Noel is now ready to unveil his own solo material in not one but two albums. The first release titled "Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds" is a concise 10-track album co-produced by Noel and Dave Sardy, who has worked on some Oasis records in the past. The project was recorded in London during 2010 and the first half of 2011, and will be released through Noel's own independent label: Sour Mash Records in October.[…] Read more »
Since being released from Arizona State Prison on Tuesday, July 19, DMX has begun an attempt to fish his career out of the bottom of the lost and found hip-hop bin through a seventh studio album and reality television show.
The album, tentatively titled Redemption of the Beast, will be his first in five years. 26 tracks have already been recorded by the Party Up rapper and are being considered, and he has begun a bicoastal media blitz. “Im gonna take it coast to coast, from New York to California.” said the multi-platinum rapper.
In reference to the small screen, Pam Pinnock, DMX’s publicist, initially denied rumors of a show starring DMX actually happening. Now, she has changed her tune.[…] Read more »
It is a subtle but nonetheless a permanent reminder on Miley Cyrus' body that "all love is equal". The 18-year old star took to Twitter on Saturday to show off her seventh tattoo, an equal sign etched on the side of her fourth finger, right hand - symbolically positioned closest to the love heart tattoo on her pinkie.
Miley has been a vocal supporter of gay rights and it is understood that her "All Love Is Equal" tattoo was done in reference to the Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby's campaign to get same-sex marriages legalised across America.
Many young pop stars look up to Britney Spears as an idol but few have braved the stage to perform their own medley of the diva's hits.
19-year old Selena Gomez surprised fans at her very first headlining tour with a neatly choreographed cover of 'Toxic', '... Baby One More Time', 'Crazy', 'I'm A Slave 4U', 'Oops, I Did It Again' and 'Hold It Against Me'. The medley itself was evidently inspired by a Chris Cox megamix released on Britney Spears' 2004 "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative" compilation. Although the young singer's dancing skills aren't quite up to Britney's level yet, she dazzled the crowd with a sensual confidence evocative of the idol's on-stage persona. Gomez had previously stated that Britney's 2001 "Dream Within A Dream" tour was the first concert she ever attended.

Delusional? Needing a quick buck? Cashing in on 1990s nostalgia? Whatever the reasoning, former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell announced that she has finished recording a comeback album. At the moment, no title, release date, or singles have been specified.
Revealing the news at the debut of her evening dress collection for Next on Wednesday, the former Ginger Spice said: “The album’s pretty much finished. I’m not sure on dates yet and I won’t tell you what it sounds like, because I’d prefer to let the songs speak for themselves. But it’ll be great to be back where I belong, on stage. It won’t be long.”[…] Read more »
