For her upcoming release, Miley Cyrus has been coy – in giving updates about her progress, that is. Tweets and pictures show she is looking for a hip-hop vibe, and collaborations with Snoop Lion and Will.i.am confirm this. But as far as the rest of the album is concerned? Kelly Osbourne exclusively spoke with HollywoodLife.com this weekend about what listeners should expect.
Calling the album “amazing,” Osbourne described a more grownup and personal sound from the former Hannah Montana star. Osbourne explained: “It’s such a departure from everything you’ve ever seen from Miley before.” […] Read more »
Over the past few weeks, rumors circulated that some, if not all, of the current American Idol judging panel are planning to leave. Out of the four, long-timer Randy Jackson officially revealed his departure on May 9.
Although Ryan Seacrest hinted at Jackson’s plans during that day’s elimination rounds, the judge known for his “yo, dawg” saying put out an official statement. Although with Idol since 2002, when he started with Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, Jackson now has plans to focus on his record label, Dream Merchant 21, and other business opportunities, which have yet to be revealed.[…] Read more »
Announced as the first single off the highly-anticipated Great Gatsby soundtrack, “Young and Beautiful” appeared like an odd choice. The strings and plaintive vocals – routine for Del Rey more than a year since she rocketed to fame – hark back to some mid-20th century pop, with a retro vibe that feels anachronistic in Gatsby’s roaring-1920s-meets-modern-glitz aesthetic.
While The Great Gatsby soundtrack is poised to do well on the Billboard 200, predicted to debut at No. 2 after its May 7 release, “Young and Beautiful” hasn’t had the same type of luck. As mediocre chart performance for Del Rey, the single opened at No. 82 and then dropped down to No. 95 on the Hot 100 last week.[…] Read more »
Since last year, Miley Cyrus has teased fans that new music should drop soon. But, with the exception of a photo with her and two hip-hop producers in the studio and a couple of collaborations, including a Reggae track with Snoop Lion, Cyrus hasn’t shown much of anything for her efforts.
What we know so far is, as a departure from the techno influence of her first “grownup” release Can’t Be Tamed, Cyrus has been claiming this new album will have a hip-hop angle.
Last week, however, she was tweeting about a new single – one, she claims, that will premiere at the Billboard Music Awards. She wrote: “Just turned on POP2K on satellite and there was C U AGAIN! Dayummm y'all THIRSTY for some new music! Coming soon! I promise! Stay tuned[…] Read more »
On May 2, Dizzee Rascal announced his collaboration with pop star Robbie Williams, a track called “Goin’ Crazy.” The announcement indicated both the actual track and the video would drop on May 10 in the U.K., and both did so on Friday.
While Williams released a successful album and single at the end of 2012, “Goin’ Crazy” is, in fact, destined for Rascal’s upcoming release, an album called The Fifth. Right now, there is no definite release date, although The Fifth is expected to drop some point over the summer.
However, “Goin’ Crazy,” with a mod-meets-rocker vibe in the video, isn’t the first single from The Fifth to hit radio waves. […] Read more »

However, Goin Crazy, with a mod-meets-rocker vibe in the video, isnt the first single from The Fifth to hit radio waves. Instead, the opener was H Town, produced by American DJ A-Trak, which came out earlier in 2013.[…] Read more »
