These days, Justin Bieber ends up in the news more for his antics rather than his music. Journals came and went at the beginning of the year, charting poorly internationally. But from egging his neighbors to being arrested in Miami, Bieber hasn’t forgotten his music career, and to remind everyone, put out another song, titled “Broken.”
The electro-influenced track is a sort-of response to his recent behavioral issues. However rather than being a cut from Journals, the song is part of new mixtape We Know The DJ Radio 4, from Tay James. For those not familiar, James claims to Bieber’s official DJ.[…] Read more »
One Direction have had three successful albums on both sides of the Atlantic, but according to a statement Liam Payne made at the 2014 BRIT Awards, band members haven’t seen each other in three months. This resulted in gossip publications surmising the five-piece might be breaking up.
That’s not true, Harry Styles told The Sun. Styles, the clear star of the group, explained One Direction has no intention to make such a move. The singer known for once dating Taylor Swift then explained: “We're not breaking up. We've spent every day together for months and I forgot what my mum looked like. It's just holidays.”
Styles then when onto explain the group is at work on their fourth studio album.[…] Read more »
Chris Brown’s supposed last album X (we’ll have to see about that) had been scheduled for a November 2013 release date. However, that time has clearly passed, the album didn’t arrive, and fans are left wondering when the pop star will put out his follow-up to 2012’s Fortune.
Brown now has an answer. The “Turn Up The Music” singer went on Twitter to reveal the release comes out in May 2014. He accompanied that with a black and white image of him covered with a red X. He wrote: "X is by far my best album yet.... Setting the date for MAY 5."[…] Read more »
Rumors have started circulating that Adele and Prince are collaborating together on a song that could be on the 21 star’s next album.
According to a source to The Sun, the “Someone Like You” singer was spotted at Prince’s show at Ronnie Scott’s in Soho – part of his U.K. trek of gigs. However, unlike the other A-listers in the audience, Adele wasn’t around for long. Apparently, she was there to talk about music only.
The source said: “The reason Adele only stayed a short time at Prince’s gig at Ronnie Scott’s in London was because it was just a business meeting and she had to get home. They want to work together for a track on her next album.”[…] Read more »
Before Prism hit stores in the fall and turned into yet another hit for Katy Perry, the pop star was involved in a campaign about her image change. Interviews had her speaking about being “darker,” while promo videos on YouTube featured her burning a blue wig (obviously symbolizing her Teenage Dream days) and attending a funeral.
Yet beyond the slightly more mature sound, Perry’s image hasn’t made that much of a change – not even to the point of saying you can “bury” her past album. The full-length video for “Dark Horse,” which came out on February 20, shows that she’s back to the same old bag of tricks.[…] Read more »
It’s no secret 50 Cent has had problems with label Interscope over the past few years. Going all the way back to 2011 are several delays on the release once called Street King Immortal (now Animal Ambition), with the rapper threatening to put the release out himself.
Now it sort of looks like he lived up to that promise. Announced yesterday, 50 Cent is leaving Interscope, which includes Shady Records and Aftermath, for Caroline.
Caroline itself isn’t entirely indie; it still has ties to Universal Music Group. It’s best known for putting out a handful of early releases from the Smashing Pumpkins and Hole in the 1990s, before both groups became huge.[…] Read more »
