Justin Bieber’s Music Mondays series continues on this week, with the release of aptly-titled track “Roller Coaster.” While the track accurately describes Bieber’s life at the moment, of parties and hanging out in South American brothels, it’s a bit different from the seven Music Mondays tracks previously released. Most have been slower R&B jams, while “Roller Coaster” takes a faster tempo.
Bieber teased the track back in October and went onto reveal the artwork through Instagram last week. Then, on Sunday, he made the official announcement through Twitter, writing: “Being in Australia I’m a little confused when #Rollercoaster hits iTunes but I think it is 10 hours. Everyone ready? #MusicMondays.”[…] Read more »
Last week, a source came forward to Billboard to tell the magazine about Bruce Springsteen’s upcoming album, which would be due as soon as January 2014. Rather than keep fans guessing, the Boss confirmed through social media that the album is official – and gave a tracklist and release date.
The release will be called High Hopes – the same title of a track Springsteen recently recorded with Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello. If you can recall, the track, originally recorded by the band in 1995 and featured on the Blood Brothers EP, leaked last week.[…] Read more »
Girl group Little Mix scored another hit with their sophomore album, Salute. The release out in the U.K. on November 11 debuted at No. 3 on the album chart. Initial single “Move,” out on November 3, turned into another hit, so the group is now following it up with “Little Me.”
With the group confirming the single’s title this week, the track was co-written with TMS and Iain James and is based on a sample from Faure’s Pavane.
In a video to fans, Jesy Nelson said: "We basically wrote this for you guys."
Leigh-Anne Pinnock then added: "It means a lot us and we hope it means a lot to you too."
While an actual lyric video has yet to be released, you can hear the song in the clip below.[…] Read more »
It’s not the late ‘90s anymore, so is it a wise decision for Lance Bass – known as the NSYNC member who can’t dance – to start a solo career? Bass, known better for his sexuality these days and red carpet appearances, essentially dropped out of the music world and seems more at home as a professional D-list celebrity, but a recent Instagram photo has him back in the studio.
Bass is apparently working on a solo album, with a single already out. The track, called “Walking on Air,” features multiple artists and is already a modest hit overseas. […] Read more »
As David Guetta, Avicii, and Calvin Harris see top hits on the Billboard charts, Tiesto naturally wants a piece of the action. His last In The Booth series depicts him attempting to do just that – getting out of the independent EDM sphere and onto a major label.
Specifically, the latest episode shows the DJ starting a contract with Casablanca on Republic Records through UMG. What appears to start with a few upcoming singles would eventually become a full-length album by 2014. If you can recall, while Tiesto’s put out his Club Life series, his last release of original material, Kaleidoscope, came out four years ago.[…] Read more »
Seven years have passed since Outkast released an album (2006’s Idlewild) and six since they went on hiatus. Although both Big Boi and Andre 3000 denied plans to reunite, sources told Billboard the duo plans to end its hiatus next year.
Right now, the sources claim Outkast is in talks to reunite at Coachella, scheduled for April 2014, where they’d be a headliner. This appearance may lead to other tour dates. However, the band’s management has yet to confirm this statement.
Over the past two years, both members refused to mention they’d get back together for an album. […] Read more »
