The True Groove All-Stars, members of Tomas Doncker's True Groove Records family, have released a cover of James Brown's classic 'I Don't Want Nobody' with music legend James Chance on vocals. The track was recorded to celebrate Chance's recent signing to True Groove Records. James Chance has influenced several generations of artists from many different mediums including: The Red Hot Chili Peppers (whose rhythm section has backed James up on West coast tours), 'The Simpson's' creator Matt Groening, film director Jim Jarmusch, the Talking Heads, British avant-funk band Melt yourself down (whose name comes from the title of one of Chance's tunes), Deborah Harry and Chris Stein (of Blondie) to name a few.[…] Read more »
One Direction produced yet another hit album with Midnight Memories, and while a fourth is supposedly in the works, all done while they tour, they’re still releasing singles from last year’s effort.
Following the title track is “You & I,” the fourth cut off the album. According to a seven-second video the band posted to YouTube this week, the track officially comes out on May 25.
The song was produced by Julian Bunette, Jamie Scott, and John Ryan, all of whom worked together on “Story of My Life.”
Before the song is available as a digital LP, which will include the original, a remix from Liam Payne, and a piano version, the video drops on April 18. […] Read more »
Madonna may not be making many official statements about her follow-up to 2012’s MDNA, but that doesn’t mean she’s staying away from social media this time. In fact, her account has been giving hints about her progress and collaborations.
So far, we saw a picture of Madge cleaning the bathroom in fishnets before she went off to work with house music star Avicii.
Now, the latest collaboration in the works appears to be with Natalia Kills. The “Hung Up” singer posted a picture to the social networking site this week of the two in the studio late at night. She captioned it with: "Working the midnight shift with Natalia Kills. 2 girls on a couch……….don"t it taste like Holy Water? #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove"[…] Read more »
There have been a few hints Frank Ocean is putting together a follow-up to 2012’s critically and commercially successful channel ORANGE, but with the exception of one song, very little has been revealed.
Ocean, however, mentioned in a Tumblr post this week that the process is nearly complete, but he’s considering skipping attending Coachella (as far as we know, he’s not on the bill to perform) to keep working on the album. He wrote: “I’M OPENING UP FOR OUTKAST THIS SUMMER AT PEMBERTON SO I MIGHT SKIP ON COACHELLA TO STAY IN THE GROOVE AND FINISH THIS B-TCH… I FEEL LIKE THEY’RE FINNA WILD OUT THO. F--K IT.. BRING THE HELICOPTER OUT.”[…] Read more »
Toward the end of March, Smashing Pumpkins announced two new albums for 2015. Die-hard fans, however, won’t have to wait that long to hear new material – assuming you can get your hands on it.

Only 250 copies will be available, priced at $60 each and hand-numbered by Corgan himself. […] Read more »
This week, OneRepublic previewed their next single, a track called “Love Runs Out.” The cut from Native sessions, but didn’t make it onto the official edition of the album, could be a one-off track or a song from the extended edition.
“Love Runs Out” had once been planned as the album’s first official single, but instead, that went to “Feel Again.” In an interview with the BBC, Ryan Tedder explained why they eventually had to cut this track: “‘Love Runs Out’ was originally going to be the first single on our album but I couldn't crack the chorus. It gutted me because I had it marked on the board as ‘first single’ for six months. Brent Kutzle, who is the cello and bass player in the band, said: ‘Man, we cannot put this out with an A+ verse and a B+ chorus.’”[…] Read more »
