"New York New York" Video Review

AT some point - it's hard to pinpoint exactly when - Deborah Harry reclaimed her cool crown. The semi-naked on stage spectacles, those Christmas bells on Maria: all was forgiven.

Now back in the bossom of the beautiful people, she's been embraced by Moby and it doesn't sound like a simple coincidence. NY, NY is written with Harry's voice (and its limitations) in mind and feels much more like a Debbie Harry track than the product of Moby's laptop.

Reinstated coolness aside, there's no escaping the obvious criticism; NY, NY is at best a Blondie comeback single and at worst a Eurovision Song Contest entry. 'Nil points' for the New York collaboration.
