New Kylie Minogue Album to Drop Early in 2014
For what’s now two years, Kylie Minogue has been dropping hints about her next studio album, a follow-up to 2010’s Aphrodite. The singer teased a bit more this week, revealing the title of her new single and when the album should drop.
Minogue tweeted: "Happy New Year #Lovers....I wish u all the best & can't wait to share new music w u in #KM2014 #IntoTheBlue."
Accompanying the tweet was an image spelling out “Into The Blue.”
It has since been confirmed that “Into The Blue” is the title of the album’s lead-in single. As well, the release is expected to drop at some point early in 2014, although a date hasn’t been determined.
The past four years saw yet another greatest hits collection from the singer and The Abbey Road Sessions, an orchestral interpretation of her greatest hits. She signed to Roc Nation and, in the studio since January 2012, has been working with Darkchild, Sia, and Pharrell Williams.
Right now, there’s no word what the album will sound like. Previously, U.S. rapper Brooke Candy spoke about putting together a verse for Minogue – something that, according to Candy, would end up on the album’s lead-in single. As well, teaser single “Skirt” gave an early taste of what listeners could expect.
