New Goodie Mob Album Nearly Complete
A new Goodie Mob album – their first release in 14 years – was announced earlier in 2012. Since that point, the group released two singles, including a track called “Fight to Win” that debuted on The Voice. Now, Cee Lo Green, in an interview with Fuse, revealed the four-piece group is nearly done the album.
In talking about the album, titled Age Against the Machine, Green mentioned it’s in the final stage of production. He went onto say: “We’re looking forward to releasing it in first quarter. We’re still mixing and doing a few more guest appearances and putting the final touches on it, but yes, it’s pretty much done.”
Age Against the Machine may be released as early as February or March 2013. Green went onto explain that Goodie Mob’s sound has evolved since their last release. He stated: “I think we’ve grown a great deal in the last 10 years. There’s a lot more to consider. There’s a broader audience and a greater aspiration to reach as many people as we can, to be as relatable, to be as real, relevant and resourceful as we can. So ‘Age Against the Machine’ is symbolic of wisdom being the weapon of choice. Those rules will apply.”
Goodie Mob’s album won’t be the only album to expect from Green. The Voice judge also has a solo album titled Everybody’s Brother in the works.
